“I don’t know how.”
Of course you don’t. You’ve never done it before.
You’re not supposed to know how. You are excused from knowing how.
Not how. When.
One step at a time
The way to figure out how is by taking steps every day toward what you want. And never stop.
Just start. Here are the steps—
- Tell how to fuck off.
- Get out a sheet of paper. Write this question at the top: What is the first step?
- Start riffing that question on the page.
You’ll soon find the answer. Tomorrow, take that step.
When tomorrow ends. If you don’t know the next step, repeat the same exercise.
I’m so busy
I never want to hear you say that. This is how creeping on you. You are scrambling to understand what to do next.
If your full-time job was to work toward what you wanted, a full day is only 3 hours. Three hours can move mountains when you are in control.
So don’t ever let me hear you say those words. Saying this means other people control your time—other people decide how to spend your time.
Time was a gift for you. You decide how to use it.
But I digress
You want stuff, no?
What do you want? To be rich? To be famous? To be happy? To be liked? Your back is your genie in a bottle. You will grant your wish.
Make sure to be ambitious.
Not How. When.
