Why do we do what we do?
It’s important to have a decent answer to this question. Progress, improvement, and creating value can be accelerated if we know why we do what we do.
Why is that?
Because when we know why we do something, our message and voice become focused and clear. And people will understand what we stand for and decide if our message is for them.
This has never been more important because of all the noise online. The megaphone that amplifies our message is clarity.
Clarity of purpose, of values, of why.
Recently, I’ve been posting more on LinkedIn. Why? To build an audience? Why do I need an audience? To sell them stuff? To feel validated? To create value?
Creating value is always a good thing.
How do I create value?
By knowing my why and clarifying my voice.
All of this is a practice. A skill that can be improved with consistent action. In the beginning, the message is muddy and unclear. But over time, with consistent action and thoughtful communication, the why will emerge, and people will know what we are all about.
