What’s Your Story?

When we are born, our minds are clean slates. By two years old, a story begins to take shape, guiding our interactions with the world. This story forms the essence of our identity, influencing how we perceive ourselves and others.

During childhood, our story becomes more complex and detailed. We internalize values, beliefs, and expectations from our friends, teachers, media, and society. These narratives contribute to the person we believe ourselves to be.

By mid-life, our story has often solidified into a robust framework that guides our decisions, behaviors, and relationships.

Recognize that this story, no matter how ingrained it may seem, is just that—a story. It is a narrative constructed from our interpretations of past, current, and ongoing experiences.

Like any story, it can be edited.

This realization is incredibly empowering.

We have the ability to redefine our narrative and, consequently, reshape our lives.
